First we need to establish your requirements. We can make an appointment to visit you, or we can arrange an online consultation. Alternatively, you can email us initial thoughts and ideas.
COVID - We will soon be moving to a new workshop and will have all the necessary precautions in place enabling safe, socially-distanced meetings to discuss your project.
Beginning with sketches and reference images, we will, together, arrive at a design which truly reflects your loved one in life and that is completely unlike any other to be found elsewhere.
Our role is to use our skills and experience to creatively interpret and facilitate your own ideas and wishes.
Once we have arrived at a design, we will order your stone and confirm a delivery schedule. We will draw the design onto the stone and ask for your final approval at this stage. Then we pick up a mallet and chisel and start.
You are welcome to come visit during the making phase, in some instances you may be able to sit with us while we work or even, with our expert guidance, add a little detail.
Careful installation is the final stage and is incredibly important. We team up with a network of NAMM or BRAMM registered fitters to ensure the highest standards of installation, complying with all national codes.
We can guide you to insurance cover for your hand made memorial and we can also arrange a maintenance package to ensure it stays looking its best for many years to come.
People always ask how long does it take? And of course for a completely bespoke service and product, it’s hard to give a definitive answer.
We want you to know that Memorial Arts will work entirely with you, when it is right and appropriate for you. And as we progress, we will give you as clear an indication as possible of how long the process will take.
Our process is all about our creativity, craftsmanship and about making the experience of commissioning a memorial fulfilling and personal.
We believe that when the beauty of the materials, the level of craftsmanship and the originality of our memorials is taken into account, we are confident that you will find the price is exceeded by the quality of the outcome and by the very personal experience of choosing a bespoke, hand-carved memorial.
